Infiniti Renault and Red Bull Red Bull
As we had announced Sunday , and we did not make a mistake, the manufacturer Infiniti, a member of the Renault-Nissan, has become officially in the night the Red Bull Renault partner for two years, leaving the possibility of Red Bull to renegotiate a agreement to the arrival of new engines in 2013.
Many sites containing so the announcement of the BBC have all been trapped heavily, since there will be no rebadging involved. The agreement remains similar to that at Lotus Lada Renault GP, a sponsorship agreement but also of collaboration "technology". So the corporate, on the eve of launching the second offensive line Infiniti in Europe, including Carlos Ghosn wants to see sales increase tenfold in five to six years.
engines Red Bull Renault will therefore remain many whilst the Infiniti logo will be on the RB7 (and Rb8) as well as combinations and other devices commercial. Renault side, the challenge is to maximize brand visibility of the Alliance to ensure a consistent exposure, continuous and profitable.
Note finally that the return is discreet enough, despite the media buzz for Infiniti in motorsport after a role in IndyCar engine supplier from 1996 to 2002 largely supported by Nissan at the time.

Rumor Infiniti
all started Friday morning, a press release from the agency PRISM, stating quite plainly: "Major luxury automotive brand Enters F1 With world championship winning team. "
This was followed by the traditional time of questioning. And looking for advertised items, namely a major luxury car brand and a world champion team. Some spoke of a deal with Williams One of the luxury brands of the VAG group, such as Porsche, however, it seems early, and 2013 is a date most likely. Ditto for the rumors of a deal Red Bull VAG. Assumptions Ferrari, Mercedes and McLaren also appear to be very unlikely, if at all. Regarding Lotus Renault GP, interest does not exist, the announcement has already been made.
So what think? Will it be a marketing partnership, a technique, or a mixture of both? The engine is rebadging it also questions? Jean-Louis
Moncet that are not used too often as absolute source for our information, is one who speaks more for the moment. He said there will be an announcement at the Geneva announcing a partnership between Red Bull and Infiniti. Rumors from hasty and shortcuts, the question of rebadging rapidly developed. This does not seem to be the case either. Carlos Ghosn knows the importance of promoting the name globally via Renault F1 engines and rename this year would be somewhat understandable, only a few months after increasing significantly the presence of diamond in Austria.
The deal seems to affect more than just the immediate presence of Infiniti's Red Bull Renault for next season. The goal is to use as often as the F1 promotional vehicle, the Infiniti range is tempting to deploy in Europe. So maybe in years to come, a rebadging will take place at around 2013 but there is nothing to affirm today. So this is a sponsorship in the image at Lotus Lada Renault GP. The rebadging
could occur in the future if management believes that both Renault Lotus sufficient to Renault to promote its communication to highlight the third team with a brand of range of a real sport. Which may far exceed the frameworks in communication campaigns ordinary fans who remain positioned on "Infiniti is a Renault badge," while the typical person will hear of this trademark without effort, in advertising, newspapers, etc..
All this remains subject to confirmation, which should happen pretty quickly now. But it is regrettable that any rebadging is not one of the Lotus, to avoid some confusion.

A lack of ego in F1?
can be read from today something interesting, apparently derived from the biography of Bernie Ecclestone: "No Angel: The Secret Life of Bernie Ecclestone."
Salt of this story lies in a passage in the vicinity of the 2007 Hungarian Grand Prix. Grand Prix back in history for his qualifications, where Fernando Alonso had deliberately blocked his teammate Lewis Hamilton in the booth. We remember the result, penalty of five grid positions for English and withdrawal points on the McLaren team this weekend. All this in addition to the notorious history of espionage. Not for espionage, which has always existed in F1, but for his tragi-comic dimension.
What we learned more today, and all that remains conditional, is that Fernando Alonso had asked Dennis to sabotage the car of Hamilton, asking him before the race not to put enough gas in the car of his teammate during the final stop order that Lewis Hamilton will finish the race, for the sake of revenge.
If one can question the veracity of this information, several things challenge. Firstly, why Ecclestone lie? There is no real interest. The other thing, why be it almost four years after the fact? We think it could be an attempt to create a little animosity between the two pilots hardened characters. After all, a little ego seems to lack fight to please the journos in lack of sensationalism. As a possible fight on and off the track might give pleasure to Bernie. After all, would this not a good way to prepare for the return to years turbo? Try the old recipe of this fighting antagonists in the era of economic globalization in the first F1 would be a good way to boost business in the years to come.
Meanwhile, critics of Fernando Alonso will be rubbing their hands, seeing once again dipped into a pseudo-scandal in F1 in recent years.

IndyCar: Drivers are required fee
The American automobile, which was thought immune to the many hunts sponsors and drivers pay, just take a hit pretty hard on these points. It was learned that Tony Kanaan was back on the market for free software drivers for the upcoming season, his deal with De Ferran Racing Dragon being nullified for lack of luggage sponsored.
After being unloaded from Andretti, the 2004 champion Discipline is thus found for the second time in the offseason foot. Resuming the season in just one month in St Petersburg, the challenge is hard to find sufficient funds to travel more than a full program, or even be offered a partial program both teams having free tubs are the most fundraising.
When you hear the other side as the handle of Las Vegas will open five IndyCar drivers off with a prize of $ 5 million if the guest wins, one may reasonably ask the question of logic things. Would not it be better to make an award to some drivers whose past made known their presence? Or would it not have been necessary to go rather broad allocation of bonuses to teams, rather than reduce it gradually as is the case?
Both ideas were brilliant IndyCar recently, as it is more likely to leave us perplexed. Especially when added to the ousting of Kanaan.
However, the marketing coup for the series is assured. Many media have spoken. Many have forgotten that there was a NASCAR race yesterday, a F1 GP the same day, among others. Certainly for Nascar, the Chase has started and ancient glories of the cars could be attempted. But it limits greatly the chances of the 5 million already given to a pilot. Especially since the handle of Las Vegas will be on an oval, and therefore, we may have very little chance of seeing a young wolf or a star selected circuits road access. One could think of a more and Sam Hornish, who could have a good chance if the desire takes. This round of Las Vegas will also be the last of the current Dallara chassis. Again, marketing is guaranteed even if one could think of another form of subsidy-hunting, as a kind of Race of Champions, for example.
Meanwhile, one can only hope that Kanaan is one of interim victims of the situation, and he will be offered a full-time driving in 2012 when the renaissance of the discipline. Just as we regret that a champion of this caliber is left aside. Like what, it's not just the F1 and GP2, which are facing problems.

Bahrain canceled? Repulsed? Liberated?
Far be it from us to interfere in the affairs of Bahrain, saying the sport should not be taken hostage by politics, even if he remains a formidable means of bringing people together and protest.
Yesterday, the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) has announced that the inaugural race of the season would not occur on crown prince's decision to promote the process of national dialogue. Officially. The decision came after some protesters have announced plans to take hostage, so to say, the F1 Circus before the world media. F1 is in the eyes of the toy king's opposition, and that's impression was that the toy had more than the people in the eyes of the king.
No decision has been taken on a possible rescheduling of the race. What remains an important issue because if the FIA or Bernie decided to place the race. The calendar is tight for both players than for men in the shadows of F1. The war of supremacy between Bahrain and Abu Dhabi leaves little room for chance to see both races Gulf succeed. December enchant few people, both morally and physically and even fiscally.
There is also little chance of having another stroke removed to make room for Sakhir. Valencia played its future, India is ready and even in advance, and the other will not yield their places. The best seems to be having to give up on hopes of 20 Grand Prix and wait one more season.
Meanwhile, Jules Bianchi seems to have made a big step towards the title of the GP2 Asia. A series which already ridiculous schedule is found even poorer since it has been established that a meeting ... unless any change!
The tests in Bahrain from March 3 to 6 were also canceled. They are replaced by test in Barcelona from March 8 to 11.

Strep Throat Test I Hate
Testing: towards a logical hierarchy?
trials of these last four days gave the following cumulative time:
1. Ferrari 435
1m22.625s 2. Mercedes 427
1m23.168s 3. Red Bull-Renault 349
1m23.315s 4. Renault 1m23.463s 337
5. Toro Rosso-Ferrari 1m23.519s 307
6. McLaren-Mercedes 1m23.858s 331
7. Williams-Cosworth 351
1m24.008s 8. Force India-Mercedes 1m24.177s 272
9. Sauber-Ferrari 1m24.243s 392
10. Lotus-Renault 1m25.454s 204
11. Virgin-Cosworth 329 1m26.501s
lot of laps, a hierarchy that is refined even if we are not immune to surprises ... This type of analysis can deal with these times. Mercedes confirms its speed, we find the first four places stables usual performance.
The missing is McLaren Mercedes - Indeed it is rumored that the team from Woking has somewhat planted with his car, 2011, they would not be in the know. This often happens when the team tries to move to the new regulation. They often takes time to make their marks. However, it is fortunately too early to bury them.
Toro Rosso plays spoilsport. Some even say they could play to win as they were impressive. I do not think such an analysis, but hey, there is hope! During that time, Team Lotus and Virgin bring up the rear, as is traditionally the case.

The first F1 Grand Prix will be there in Bahrain?
Less than a month before the start of the Formula 1 season, current political events in the Middle East worries the world of F1. This weekend's round of GP2 Asia held in Bahrain has been canceled due to tensions in the country. To overcome this problem, the F1 Circus will visit this Friday to discuss the situation and take necessary decisions. Time is short, we must arrange transportation of goods to Bahrain to be ready on D-Day
Worry is today rigor, and in the face of such delays, it is difficult to imagine if the situation will run or not. F1 has beautiful lie at the forefront of technology, it can not dominate everything. Bernie Ecclestone's F1 manages masterfully, if he can not work miracles if the situation escalates.
It would be easy to say that if Melbourne was entering the season still, there would be fewer problems. It would also be inappropriate, since Australia has also had trouble dealing with recently, although they are likely weather. It is not question of runway shows or conducive to the theater to otherwise, it goes far beyond Formula 1. Hopefully a solution will be found to start the season on time, and hopefully, in the space provided.

Mitch Evans and the New Zealand Grand Prix at Jerez testing
There is a little less than a year, we were talking about the Toyota Racing Series and the Grand Prix of New Zealand in these reflections antipodal. Yesterday, Mitch Evans became the youngest winner of the Grand Prix of New Zealand, highlighting over the weekend the overwhelming lead he has in the championship.
protégé Mark Webber is a short distance of the title, and indeed, it is almost impossible to catch him now. A championship mastered by Evans, it is true titleholder Toyota Racing Series. European pilots there have been nothing, not even Earl Bamber, his only competitor last year happened during the season. Twelve races, twelve podiums, six wins. Neither Scott Pye, who won the British Formula Ford 2010, Nick Cassidy nor have there been anything. The rich protected Russian Red Bull, Daniil Kvyat or Lukoil, Ivan Lukashevich, will have awakened too late.
So what will the rest of the program for this new phenomenon zéanlandais New? Some talk a contrast in Australian F3, where he lost the title for a point against Ben Barker in 2010. Others speak of a program with GP3 W. Arden. Be careful though not to go too fast, others even more promising as there are already burned wings. Besides the perennial question of the budget.

FIA Academy
The FIA has selected twelve pilots on a selection of 18 to join the FIA Institute Young Driver Excellence Academy. Officially, there is a new project to help develop the talents of young drivers worldwide.
This project will start this season before expanding in future years. The goal is to create a training program financed independently, which will allow these young riders to develop skills necessary to their rise in motor sport. The FIA has requested the participation and support of national sports associations to ensure that top talent can have access to this program.
It should be noted that the rally drivers, both those tours, which take part in the program will be supervised by Alex Wurz and Robert Reid, co-pilot of the late Richard Burns. The academy will initially funded by the FIA Foundation and managed by the FIA Institute. The program is quite similar to what the FFSA has implemented or the Red Bull Junior Team, through meetings a week throughout the year to review various aspects, Security in psychology, through nutrition and media skills / management.
If the effort of the FIA is commendable, I probably still somewhat of neutrality might have the FIA after a young program has arrived in F1 or WRC. I am not a proponent of conspiracy theory, but the FIA must ensure that the right of reservation will be complete on this point to avoid controversy.
While waiting to see how this program evolves, this list of the twelve selected pilot:
Vandoorne Stoffel, Philipp Eng, Kevin Abbring, Paul-Loup Chatin, Albert Costa, Alon Day, Robin Frijns, Timmy Hansen, Egon Kaur Andreas Mikkelsen, Alex Rossi and Richie Stanaway.
noted in conclusion that there should be ten, but the selection was increased to not penalize some drivers. Good luck to them!

Kubica accident media
Yesterday, Robert Kubica was seriously injured during a rally in Italy. Very quickly, a question has emerged: the development of professionalism in F1 does not force does not (unfortunately) the pilot to concentrate solely on the F1? The pilots, if we make a distinction between pilots motivated by passion and by those money, they should put aside what motivates them, their essence to concentrate on F1?
Actually, I can not answer. We appreciate Kubica or not, it was still good to see such drivers have fun competing in other disciplines. Eric Boullier has very well summarized by this statement: "The rally is vital for Robert. It is a balance for him. From there, it's a mutual agreement. We knew the risks. Too. But we did not want to have a robot pilot, a pilot "corporate".
Some take the F1 as a profession, Increasingly, but there are still enthusiasts who like to run, even without necessarily the possibility of a victory. In time, the drivers would run much more disciplines, with much greater risks, and everyone enjoyed this mixed bag of talent that would please. One aspect of Kubica who was not publicized to the death, but that made him more human compared to other drivers.
So, yes, we saw what kind of pilot at a time when there was much more aware of the job, or even the sport altogether. Other times, other customs. The fatality is still there, and risks accidents occur at home as much as in the tracks. The world of F1 is stressful enough so let the drivers live.
Meanwhile he will have to wait a week to learn more about the unavailability of Robert Kubica, even though it seems now accepted that all or part of the 2011 season will be missed by the Polish driver. Waiting to see what decision will Lotus Renault GP.
Finally, a big black spot on some "media" totally web indecent announcing anything and everything. It does not push up viewing figures with the health of drivers.

First Test F1 2011
The permanent circuit of Valencia has been the basis for initial trials of the new F1. As usual, we can not draw any conclusions, but we can already make some observations. Is one of those random behavior of Pirelli, which will be discussed in the preceding article.
Here is the ranking of teams that have run their new cars during these three days, by time, with the number of turns. Make the rankings a week per team seems more appropriate to rank per day per driver, especially because of the likelihood larger than all the teams have made at least a time worthy of "qualifying" during different days of testing.
Lotus Renault GP Ferrari 1m13.307s 1m13.144s
227 285
Red Bull Renault 1m13.614s 258
Williams Cosworth Sauber Ferrari 1m14.299s 1m14.469s
258 214 203
Mercedes 1m14.537s
Toro Rosso Ferrari 1m14.801s 202
Lotus Renault 1m20.649s 53
Note that times are slightly skewed, with Team Lotus had some reliability problems and did not turn on Tuesday.
The next issue will be conducted Sunday 13, after the next test session at Jerez.

Simulation of tire war
is often referred to video games racing simulation. Today, I talk with you about a subject that is debated: the war of the tires. Since the rule requiring a single manufacturing, competition and the desire to produce tires much more efficient than the competition has disappeared. Normal, you say, because there is more competition.
Yet an article in Autosport alluded to this war of tires. What is narrated in the article is simple: Pirelli drivers worried and teams as they wear. Moreover, the wear amount is abrupt and in an instant, a driver is no longer in the game.
Adapting Pirelli F1 necessarily implies that the tires may not be in the loop, at least this year. However, talk of war tires for a single manufacturer that produces tires sudden and unexpected deterioration is more classifiable as lottery Wars tires. The tire war is at the pinnacle of sport, where many manufacturers are struggling to excellence and not an approximation, history can keep a whole race. Instead,
case, if we wants to use the term war, war strategies. In this sense, and even more than last year, pilots more conservative with their gums will come out of the game is trying, always artificially approaching the F1 of yesteryear. We are still far from shopping without changing tires or fueling.

What future for small teams?
In 2010, three teams arrived in F1, emerging from several projects stillbirths (USF1, Stefan ... GP). A year later, on the edge of a new season, what can we expect past? Has the situation changed since? Portraits Crusaders.
Team Lotus: Tony Fernandes naming defendant
The team wants to differentiate itself from the new Renault Lotus Renault GP now. For this, nothing better than a trial. Each entity defends what she believes is its right, but in the end, you have to face the truth. Gerard Lopez, although belonging to one of the teams involved, shared a very frank analysis and the least interesting: "It's a fact: if 1Malaysia Racing should change their name, they will lose money FOM that are owed. (...) At a minimum, we should admit the truth, which is summarized in a story about money and nothing else. "The money has always failed to small teams, despite the money injected by businessmen to bank account full. After all, Tony Fernandes is one of them ... It will be noted that his team, especially after this affair that may impinge upon the image conveyed by the team. However, the image is not everything: do not forget that Lotus is one of the only three teams have really improved at the technical level with the arrival of Renault.
Virgin Racing rearrangements
In 2010, many observers believed that Lotus was the only team among the three serious newcomers. However, as long as all three in the race, there are still enough hope. Like Lotus, Virgin is portrayed by Richard Branson, who became a personality for the jet-set as much as passion for motorsport. And Virgin, right now, there has been a reshuffle. The main information that results is the return of Ian Phillips, who passed through Jordan, Midland and Force India before arriving this year Virgin as CEO. The former CEO of Virgin, namely Graeme Lowdon, now chairs the team. This new role will enable them to have a privileged position compared with FOTA. All this means that a new CEO was appointed Andy Webb, CEO of Marussia. The president Nikolay Fomenko Marussia has meanwhile been appointed technical director. Note that the combination of the team with Marussia enable them to meet them by the right people and be more effective, even though senior executives directly Marussia have a place in Virgin Racing. Anyway, all These are in the direction of progress and a reflection on the team itself will be beneficial for the future. Especially since a key personalities such as John Booth, it will not change his position.
HRT: Chandhok to acquire Karthikeyan lost
At HRT Chandhok had enough of being pushed aside. Always the same problems, does: money. Sakon Yamamoto and Christian Klien were able to drive, not only for their ability to drive the car, but especially with the money they could make. Karun Chandhok has therefore confined to a few rods for BBC Radio 5live Sport. In view of the arrival in India in F1, the drivers and teams in the country are increasingly popular. Thanks to this, Karthikeyan made a very unexpected return to F1, we have not seen him since 2005. We're not going into detail on this change, but we wanted to emphasize again the inconsistency of this choice, and ask if there was evidence of the difficulty of the team to actually invest in Hispanic F1 a sustainable project where the team can hope to be competitive. We wish them since it is always good to see new competitors land in F1, with the dream of progress and reach the summit from scratch.
These three teams are to follow to know if really, thanks to cost reductions undertaken by the FIA for some time, teams can enter the microcosm of F1 and expect to run for points, podiums or wins.
